Following a childhood in Poland and the Republic of Ireland, Amanda returned to her native north-east England in her youth, giving up her career in 2007 to practice and study photography. She graduated from Cleveland College of Art & Design with an FdA in Commercial Photography and a BA (Hons) in Photography.

Her disciplines include social, suburban & industrial documentary, and multi-media installations that use and reference the photographic image.
