The messianic event

"The Messianic event" is an anticipated future that is occurring now; a resurrection from destruction always anticipated to be on the cusp of happening in which we appear to be libinally invested.

Responding to the media presentation of natural disasters, political upheaval and terrorist atrocities as mega-spectacles for the mass consumption of fear, this series of transparencies using appropriated photographs illustrates how this is packaged as an investment in messianic events, one that obscures, not reveals reality.
